Google is expanding its Preferred Sources feature globally, giving users more control over the news and websites they see in Search.
According to Google, the feature allows users to choose specific news outlets or websites they want to appear more often in the “Top Stories” section.
To use Preferred Sources, users need to tap the star icon next to Top Stories and add the preferred sites.
Additionally, the company also said over 200,000 unique websites have already been selected, ranging from local blogs to major news organizations.
Dow Jones also noted early adoption of the feature, saying it helps improve how audiences discover news and engage with trusted sources.
Google shared that the Preferred Sources feature is now available in all supported languages and is being rolled out worldwide.
