Google is enhancing Chrome’s security with a redesigned download experience using AI-powered Safe Browsing.
The browser will now use AI-powered Safe Browsing technology to differentiate between “suspicious files” and “dangerous documents.” This categorization will be indicated by distinct icons, colors, and text, helping users make informed decisions about downloaded files.
Chrome users with Enhanced Protection mode will automatically have their downloads deeply scanned, eliminating the need for manual checks. This proactive approach is designed to block malicious downloads.
Google aims to enhance online safety by making download warnings clearer and more consistent, thus reducing the chances of users ignoring security alerts.
