Google Philippines announced yesterday that Google Cloud is putting out a free AI skills development course to help Filipinos learn about AI and machine learning.
Yves Gonzalez, head of government affairs and public policy for Google Philippines, says that the AI learning course will be given online so that more Filipinos can take it.

Google Cloud is also helping more seed-stage to early-stage (series A) startups in the country that use AI as their main technology to create goods or solutions.
Through their Google for AI Startups Cloud Program, Filipino startups will be able to get up to $350,000 in cloud credits over a two-year period.
Also this year, Google Philippines has added three more classes to its Google Career Certificates program. These are business intelligence, advanced data analytics, and cyber security.
These certificates are professional credentials that help people from all walks of life get job-ready skills in high-growth digital areas like IT support, user experience design, e-commerce, and digital marketing.
Last year, Google said it would give 39,000 Google job Certificate scholarships to Filipinos from underserved communities to help them learn digital skills and get certificates that employers recognize so they can reach their job goals.
