The new feature will allow users to order food directly from Google Maps. It was discovered in the latest version of the Google Maps app for Android.
While it is not yet available, hidden code suggests users may be able to search for food, find nearby restaurants, and place an order without leaving the app. Also, Google previously said that, in the coming months, users will be able to order food from a conversation in Google Maps, suggesting the feature is already in development.
Users may also be able to order by describing what they are craving, with Ask Maps recommending nearby restaurants before placing the order.
Google has not officially announced the feature, so details are still limited. It is also unknown whether it will work on all Android devices. There is also no information yet on whether the feature will be available on Apple devices.
Additionally, there is no word yet on when the food ordering feature for Google Maps will be released.
