Google Cloud has added OpenAI models to its Model Garden.
Announced on October 22, 2026, the update introduces three OpenAI models:
- GPT-6 Astra
- GPT-6.1 Sol
- GPT-6 Luna
The models are designed for different workloads, including coding, computer use, professional tasks, scientific research, and everyday work.
Customers can access the models through Google Cloud Marketplace, with usage included in their existing Google Cloud billing.
Google Cloud said customer prompts, context, and outputs remain within their designated data perimeters and are not used to train foundation models. Zero Data Retention options and Confidential Compute support are planned for a later release.
The three OpenAI models are currently rolling out in private preview to select enterprise customers through Google Cloud’s Model Garden. Customers can access them through APIs and connect local Codex CLI and Desktop workflows to the platform for AI inference.
Google Cloud also plans to bring OpenAI models to Gemini for business and Google Antigravity in the future.
