Geekbench Detects ASUS ROG Phone 7D With High-End Specs

Model number AI 2205D represents the ASUS ROG Phone 7D on the testing service’s database. The alias ‘Kalama’ for the chipset indicates that it is compatible with the state-of-the-art Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. The chipset’s overall core count is 8, with three running at 2.02GHz, four at 2.80GHz, and a central core at 3.19GHz. Additional customization choices will be available at the debut alongside the phone’s 16GB of RAM. According to the score database, ROG Phone 7D will come preinstalled with Android 13.

When tested on Geekbench, the ASUS ROG Phone 7D achieved single-core and multi-core ratings of 2,012 and 5,697, respectively.

Previous rumors have suggested that the ASUS ROG Phone 7 series will include a high-refresh-rate AMOLED screen at 165 hertz. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 anticipates being the engine driving both the standard and premium models. The former will allegedly have a maximum capacity of 512GB, while the latter will top out at 256 GB. The release date for the first ROG Phone 7 series device is set for the third quarter of 2022, or between July and September.
