Even though the Galaxy S24 series isn’t coming out for a few more months, leaks and reports are already going around.
In a new leak, tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer, also known as “OnLeaks,” and SmartPrix have shared renders and a 360-degree video of the base Samsung Galaxy S24. This gives us a good idea of what to expect from the upcoming flagship phone.
The images show a phone that looks like the Galaxy S23. It has the same cutouts for the back camera and a flat panel with a hole in the middle. But the edges of the S24 might be totally flat and polished, while the edges of the S23 were just a little bit rounded. Even though the changes are small, they might make a difference in the hand.
A light blue color choice for the Galaxy S24 is also shown in the video, as well as a UWB antenna strip below the power button.
The Galaxy S23+ and S23 Ultra already have UWB, but this is the first time it will be on the base Galaxy top model. So putting it on the Galaxy S24 would be a great way to improve.
Sources say that the Galaxy S24 will be 147 mm tall, 70.5 mm wide, and 7.6 mm thick. This makes it a little bit taller and slimmer than the Galaxy S23.
The thickness doesn’t change. In addition, the images show that the bottom of the phone has a USB Type-C port, a SIM card slot, a microphone, and a loudspeaker.
According to rumors about the phone’s specs, it should have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or Exynos 2400 chip and an LTPO 120Hz OLED screen that can get as bright as 2,500 nits. It will have a 12MP front-facing camera, a 50MP main camera on the back, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 10MP closeup camera with 3x optical zoom. There may be up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB/512GB of storage as memory choices.
The Galaxy S24 series is supposed to come out in January or February 2024. Keep an eye on Manila Shaker for further updates!
