Huawei really took the P9 quite seriously and surely wanted a good partner in the camera department, enter Leica optics. Huawei themselves claim that the Huawei P9 will deliver the “full Leica experience”, which sounds rather exciting, but is yet to be determined.
Together with the Huawei P9, the P9 Plus was also part of the spotlight on P9’s official unveiling event. The bigger P9 Plus wasn’t fully unveiled, though, so it’s still a mystery to many. But recently, a new P9 handset was unveiled in Russia in the form of the lower-end P9 Lite.
An expected ceramic version of the P9 is expected to follow its official launching. This ceramic version is said to boast a metallic body, coated over with ceramic overcoating. This sounds rather cool and hopefully, we’ll see the ceramic version sometime this month.
Huawei introduced this particular camera feature way back on the Honor 6 Plus. This feature enables the user to adjust the phone’s the slider on a range of f/0.95 to f/16, enabling more efficient focal viewing and camera shooting. This feature fits the dual-sensor equipped Huawei P9 since it maximizes the adaptability delivered by the Wide Aperture mode.
From the name alone, you can identify that the Kirin 955 and 950 don’t differ much since they name designation doesn’t even stretch to 10. However, according to a little benchmark analysis was done by GSMarena, the Kirin 955 delivered a rather “unimpressive” performance and was outperformed by the older Kirin 950 seen on the Mate 8.
