The game, Montecrypto: The Bitcoin Enigma, will officially come out today, February 20, 2018, at the following times: 08:00 PST / 11:00 EST / 16:00 GMT. According to the game’s developer, Gem Rose Accent, they will be awarding the first winner of the game 1 Bitcoin, currently worth approximately $11,500.
In this game, the player would have to enter a maze filled with 24 mind-bending enigmas or puzzles. The player may either choose to work with other people by giving clues and hints in solving the puzzles or lead them to dead-ends and take the prize for themselves. The game will also feature an Atmospheric steam punk scenario.

According to Motherboard, the game’s developers want to keep their identities a secret at least until a winner has been declared. The developers also mentioned that they are a group of game developers that had a crazy idea for a game.
Gem Rose Accent’s inspiration for Montecrypto was the well-known “On the Trail of the Golden Owl” treasure hunt, a French treasure hunting book published in 1993, which to this day is still not yet solved.
