Antutu recently revealed a top 10 list of smartphone performers for Q1 of 2016. Xiaomi’s Mi 5 and Samsung’s Galaxy S7 Edge took the lead role amongst the rest. In the Philippines, the Galaxy S7 Edge and Mi 5 are still fairly young, but it seems that their truly performing overseas. Let’s take a look at the rankings of the best smartphone performers of the world, courtesy of Antutu’s overview.

Overview
From the Antutu overview of Q1’s smartphone performers. It seems that Xiaomi’s very affordable flagship, the Xiaomi Mi 5 topped was number one over nine other handsets on the list. The second phone to hit the stands is none other than Samsung’s bigger Galaxy S7 Edge while Apple’s iPhone 6S keeps lands on the third spot.
No. 1: Xiaomi Mi 5
Xiaomi really proved a lot wrong as it tops the rest of the world’s best smartphones, with a whopping rating of 136,875. It surpassed, even the upgraded variant of Samsung’s latest flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. We’ve had our time with the Mi 5 and it is indeed a performer.
No. 2: Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge
Samsung’s latest flagship, the Galaxy S7 Edge did a very good job in the performance category. Despite only surpassing the iPhone 6S, the Galaxy S7 Edge is no pushover indeed with a whopping 134,599. The Galaxy S7 Edge also topped the Huawei Mate 8 and Meizu Pro 5, which we all know aren’t exactly easy going handsets.
No. 3: iPhone 6S
The third spot goes over to Apple’s 2015 flagship, the iPhone 6S. It delivered a fairly convincing performance int he hardware and software category, which was highly expected from Apple’s smooth software. It rolled in with a 133,781 rating, which is not a bad grade overall.
No. 4: Huawei Mate 8
The Huawei Mate 8 has been a reasonable amount of success and has slowly become a fan favorite by most of the fans. However, the latter was only placed fourth, for its 91,157 performance rating. Nevertheless, the Huawei Mate 8 is still a beast phone and deserves its spot on the top five best smartphone performers lists.
No 6: Samsung Galaxy Note 5
The Note 5 is probably one of the oldest handsets in the list but still outperformed various favorites. Truly one of the beastly smartphone performers of last year or even this year. The Galaxy Note 5 gave an 83,364 performance rating, which is rather impressive for a year-old phone.
No. 8 and 10: iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S6
Both of these handsets are rather old, nevertheless, since both are respected flagships, they were able to perform. The iPhone 6 lands on the 8th spot, thanks to its 80,223 performance rating. While the Samsung Galaxy S6, who was Q1 of last year’s top dog barely made it to the top ten, with its 76,912 rating.
Some of the smartphones present on the list are not exactly available in the Philippine market through the majority of the listed top smartphone performers are all commendable handsets that are available in the PH market.
