Facebook is currently down as of 3:58 PM Philippine Time, as users are experiencing issues on the desktop version of the Meta social media network.
Users are being shown with the message: “Account Temporarily Unavailable. Your account is currently unavailable due to a site issue. We expect this to be resolved shortly. Please try again in a few minutes.”
The outage appears to be widespread, with many users unable to access the app and website on desktop. The same problem is also occuring on the Business Platform of Meta.
As of reporting, Meta, the company that owns Facebook, has not yet released an official statement or timeline for service restoration.
Update: As of 7:06 PM, Facebook is now working again on desktops.
