You might soon be able to reply to an email with an emoji using Google’s Gmail. This information was found in secret code in the Gmail app for Apple devices.
Why do we use emojis? Well, words do take time sometimes. With an emoji, you don’t have to type out words. Downside is you wouldn’t want to send the wrong emoji, especially if it has something to do with your work.
This emoji function has been around for a while. Something like this is already in Microsoft’s Outlook email. You can show how you feel about an email by tapping on a happy face and choosing from six emojis.
When might this new option of Gmail be available? We don’t know for sure, but, it could be at any time. So far we don’t know if Apple and Android users will be able to use it at the same time.
In short, you don’t have to text your friends to use emojis anymore. They are popping up in places like email that are more formal. If this function is added to Gmail, it could make emailing a little more fun and faster. But remember that emojis have their place, so use them wisely!
