Quadcopters are a good example of Drones that are used for surveillance. Sometimes Drones are used for the sole purpose of gathering up a wide view of a particular location, enabling easy in traffic surveillance and even mapping out certain routes to take. Their compact size doesn’t take that much space in the sky, such as Axis Vidius quadcopter that doesn’t require any aviators permit to fly through the sky.

They can also be equipped with a smaller camera to view things at a better angle while other Drones are already equipped with their own special cameras. Quadcopters are an example of Drones that require you to attach a small camera. However, a Quadcopters capability is still pretty limited, thus, it’s an all-in scenario when you attach a small camera on the copter and once the battery runs dry, you’d better be prepared.

There are drones that can be very influential in the art of Photography since they limit the inability of a human being to fly, enabling the photographer to maximize his or her view of shots, whether they aim for a landscape no-background shot or a shot with a subject.

Thanks to Drones, even videographers are able to catch, otherwise impossible or costly shots that would require the staff to rent a plane. This reliable source of excellent shots for a very reasonable price is one of the many appeals of Drones in Photography and Videography. They might not be well-equipped with the state-of-the-art camera, however, an impossible shot with a very impressive drone is a shot, caught in a million chance. GoPro’s currently developing the Karma Drone, which is specifically built for videos and photos, a true dream drone for photographers and videographers and as soon as it hits the shelves.

The Future of Drones

In the future, we’re hoping to see the Drone industry grow and be able to cross over different industries, other than Photography and surveillance. We hope to see drones for recreational purposes or even as a heavily influenced competition though we feel that its still way to early to say things.

Drones are expected to play a vital role sooner or later though they are not the norm at this point in time, it is expected for Drones to be all around us. Whether on a ground, on air or even at sea, Drones should play a huge role in peace as well, despite being built for war purposes.
