Dito Telecommunity has confirmed that they are already testing their internet broadband service to be launched in 2022. Aside from the aggressive pricing similar to their mobile plans, DITO’s broadband could offer faster speed as the company needs to maintain and pass the government’s audit.
There are no final details as to when and how much their wireless broadband will cost but you can expect that they will launch first in Greater Manila followed by other provinces.
Aside from the promise of fixed wireless internet, DITO is also targeting a total of 12 million subscribers by the end of 2022 according to Atty. Adel Tamano. Last year, for the 9-month operation of the 3rd telco, Dito accumulated 5 million subscribers from their prepaid services.
The company also hinted that they will start offering postpaid plans and services, probably with devices bundled. Dito has a strong position in terms of physical outlets which the company is planning to expand further.
