Dell introduced (and rehashed) two new gaming laptops — the G7 15 and the G7 17. Both base models can be purchased with a starting price of $1,429(~P71,400). The smaller gaming notebook will become available on June 29 in the US, with the bigger one on June 23.
G7 Gaming Laptop Series Gets Updated for 2020
The Dell G7 15 has three displays to choose from, a 15.6-inch 144Hz, 15.6-inch 300Hz, and an OLED 4K 60Hz option. The device can be equipped with up to the 10th Gen Intel Core i9-10980HK processor and Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q GPU, along with up to 32GB RAM and 1TB PCIe M.2 SSD storage. The ports are composed of a USB 2.0 Type-A port, SD card reader, 2x USB 3.2 Type-A, audio jack, charging port, USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port, mini DisplayPort, HDMI 2.0, and a Gigabit Ethernet port.
The G7 17, on the other hand, has no exact models for its display yet, but the device can also be configured up to 10th Gen Intel Core i9-10980HK processor but with an RTX 2070 Super GPU. Like the G15, you can expect the same maximum RAM and storage capacities and port selection.
Design-wise, the G7 series features anodized Mineral Black aluminum chassis with 4-zone RGB keyboard and customizable RGB strict at the bottom near the touchpad area. And thanks to the new hinge design, the thickness is reduced to 0.7″ vs 0.9″ from previous models.
