Vivo’s APEX concept smartphone received a lot of hype because of its bezel-less display and pop-up selfie camera. Now, Vivo has confirmed the the Vivo NEX name and the official launch date which will happen on June 12.
As mentioned, the Vivo APEX that was showcased during the MWC 2018 is a bezel-less smartphone that has a pop-up camera that will appear once the selfie camera is on. However, the new leak shows off a bezel-less smartphone with a little thicker bezel to accommodate the selfie camera on the bottom right part of it. The selfie camera on the Vivo NEX is similar to the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s’ placement.
It’s not a big surprise if Vivo will be releasing two variants of their next variant since they’ve done it to the Vivo X21. The Vivo X21 has a variant with an in-display fingerprint scanner and another model with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
According to some rumors, the Snapdragon 710 variant will carry the price tag of 4,998 Yuan or around $779, while the Snapdragon 845 variant with 6,998 Yuan price tag, which is roughly around $1,090 when converted directly.
