Finally! EPA Regulates Forever Chemicals

The Department of Education (DepEd) and local governments (LGUs) manufacture tablets for kids in preparation for their return to school, whether in hybrid or traditional format. According to IDC Senior Analyst Angela Medez, this is a positive trend that will continue to increase through 2Q 2022 by a rate of 40.1% YoY and 22.2% QoQ.

To the tune of 30.9% of the Philippine tablet market in the second quarter of 2022, Cherry stands as the undisputed market leader. This is because local government units (LGUs) have preferred the brand’s affordable tablet portfolio as a tool for teaching.

Cherry’s lineup of affordable tablets costs between Php 3,000 and Php 9,000. The Cherry Flare Tab Ultra, the company’s priciest tablet, has a 10-inch Full HD display, a 6000mAh battery, LTE connectivity, and a USB-C port, and it also comes with a case and a keyboard. It has 64GB of storage space that can be expanded with a MicroSD card and is driven by an SC9863 processor with 4GB of RAM.

Samsung and Lenovo follow closely after, offering shoppers a solid selection of low-priced tablets. Fourth-place realme is closing the gap quickly on the competition with the success of its Pad and Pad Mini, and fifth-place Huawei rounds out the top 5 with its affordable MatePads.
