The new ChatGPT app on desktop allows Mac users to quickly engage with the AI by using the Option + Space shortcut. This feature also enables users to take instant screenshots and ask questions about them directly. Additionally, users can drag and drop images into the chat to get detailed information or answers related to those images.
Powered by OpenAI’s latest GPT-4o model, the ChatGPT app now boasts improved reasoning skills across audio, visual, and text inputs. Users can upload multiple files for comprehensive analysis, summarization, and content generation. The app also supports voice input, allowing for more natural, conversational interactions similar to those with a virtual assistant.
It is now available for Mac devices equipped with Apple silicon (M1 chip or newer). OpenAI has also revealed plans to launch a Windows version later this year, broadening the app’s reach. You can download it on OpenAI’s official website.
