
ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok experienced service disruptions on Thursday, September 3, before service was restored.
ChatGPT began experiencing issues at around 11 PM Philippine time, with users encountering errors while using the chatbot.
OpenAI said the problem caused elevated errors across ChatGPT and Codex, affecting features such as conversations, logins, file uploads, voice mode, search, deep research, and image generation.
Around the same time, Anthropic also reported issues with Claude, Claude Code, and its API. The company attributed the disruption to an infrastructure issue and restored its services at around 12:15 AM Philippine time on September 4.
Grok also experienced an outage across its web, Android, and iOS platforms, beginning at around 9:30 PM Philippine time. xAI later linked the issue to an outage at its Memphis data center.
As of September 4, all three services have been restored.
