CAD Renders Unveil Sleek Design of 12.9-inch iPad Air

Rumors about Apple working on a larger 12.9-inch iPad Air surfaced in October last year, and it seems the speculation is turning into reality.

Exclusive renders obtained by 91mobiles showcase the design of the anticipated iPad Air model, marking it as the largest in the series and the first with a 12.9-inch screen, a feature previously exclusive to the iPad Pro lineup.

The upcoming iPad Air 12.9-inch model reveals some familiar features, with the return of the Touch ID button positioned at the top, consistent with the previous model.

Additionally, the speaker grilles can be found at both the top and bottom of the device.

Noteworthy details include the presence of the side switch and the placement of the USB-C port at the bottom. A subtle but intriguing change in design is noticed in the rear camera, featuring a distinct border around the lens and LED flash, a departure from the current model’s exposed camera sensor.

These renders suggest that Apple is opting for a more subtle approach in redesigning the iPad Pro 12.9-inch model, understandable given the recent overhaul of the iPad Air’s design, boasting an all-screen display, the return of the Touch ID button, and sleek flat edges.

As anticipation builds for the 6th generation iPad Air’s launch, expectations are high for the inclusion of the formidable M2 chip. Apple enthusiasts eagerly await the unveiling of this larger and more advanced iPad Air variant.
