BYD Song Ultra EV Unveiled

BYD Song Ultra EV

BYD has revealed new details about the Song Ultra EV in China, the first B-segment all-electric SUV under its Dynasty series.

The Song Ultra EV will come with two Blade battery options. The first is a 75.616 kWh battery with a CLTC range of 620 km. The second is a larger 82.732 kWh battery that can reach up to 710 km on the CLTC cycle.

The batteries weigh 538.6 kg and 571.3 kg, respectively. The total vehicle weight is 1,990 kg for the smaller battery version and 2,050 kg for the larger one.

It is powered by a rear electric motor, available in two versions: 240 kW (322 hp) and 270 kW (362 hp). Both versions have a top speed of 210 km/h.

It has five seats. Compared to the 2026 Song L DM-i and Song Pro DM-i, the Song Ultra EV is bigger and has a longer wheelbase.

The exterior follows BYD’s “Dragon Face” design. It has slim headlights, a trapezoidal lower grille, and a full-width rear taillight with a “Chinese knot” pattern.

The official launch is expected in the third quarter of 2026.
