
BYD has officially launched the BYD Sealion 5 DM-i in the Philippines.
The BYD Sealion 5 DM-i EV SUV combines a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with a 12.96 kWh Blade Battery.

The system delivers a total output of 197 PS and 300 Nm of torque, and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds.
The vehicle offers a pure electric range of up to 71 km (NEDC) and a total driving range that exceeds 1,000 km on a full tank and charge.
Standard features include full LED lighting, 18-inch alloy wheels, heated power side mirrors with puddle lamps, roof rails, leather seats, and dual-zone climate control.
It is equipped with a 10.1-inch rotating touchscreen that supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and various entertainment apps.


Charging the battery via 3.3 kW AC power takes around 4.5 hours from 15% to full. It also features Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, allowing it to power external electronic devices.
Color options include Arctic White, Harbour Grey, Cosmos Black, and Deep Sea Blue.
Additional tech features include NFC key card access, BYD Cloud with OTA updates, and remote control functions via the BYD app. Multiple USB ports are also available throughout the cabin.
In terms of safety, the Sealion 5 DM-i offers six airbags, ABS, EBD, stability and traction control, hill-start assist, ISOFIX mounts, a rear camera with radar, and anti-rollover protection.
The BYD Sealion 5 DM-i is priced at PHP 1,248,000, with an introductory price of PHP 1,198,000.
It comes with an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty for the Blade Battery, an 8-year or 150,000 km warranty for the electric motor and control system, and a 6-year or 150,000 km warranty for the vehicle.
