BPI Faces Continued Digital Service Disruptions

Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) customers continued to encounter issues with the bank’s digital platforms on Tuesday, June 16, despite the bank’s earlier announcement that services had been restored.

The technical issue first surfaced on June 14, causing disruptions across several digital banking channels.

Earlier on Tuesday, BPI said it had resolved the connectivity-related problems affecting its systems.

However, many users later reported that they were still unable to access the BPI mobile app and online banking services.

BPI then confirmed that several services remained affected, including access to the BPI app, BPI Online, debit card transactions, and transactions through BPI Dito Partner Stores.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the bank had not provided an estimated timeline for the full restoration of all affected digital services.
