The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has launched a new online Taxpayer Portal.
This new portal aims to modernize tax services and make transactions easier for taxpayers.
In Revenue Memorandum Circular No. 053, the portal provides taxpayers with online access to their tax information via a secure digital platform and to reduce the need for manual follow-ups and visits to BIR offices.
Users can view their registration details, check the status of filed tax returns, monitor tax payments, and receive reminders for filing and payment deadlines.
The portal is currently being rolled out for taxpayers under the BIR’s Large Taxpayers Service (LTS).
According to the BIR, the pilot phase will help ensure the system is ready before it is expanded to more taxpayers.
