Most brands are still catching up on what Xiaomi has set with its Mi Mix last year. And yet a hint for the upcoming Mi Mix 2 gives another extra lead for the Chinese brand.
The new Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 looks incredibly stunning as teased by its own French designer, Philippe Starck. Noticeably, the bezel on all sides has been shrunken giving way for the display to standout. Also, the flat and edgy form of the original Mi Mix is seemingly changed to a rounded one.
If you’re wondering, the piezo electric earpiece for calling is still present on top and behind of the glass screen. The selfie camera is then squeezed on the bottom part, which is perhaps the least exciting things about the device. But nonetheless, you can turn your phone in landscape mode when taking selfies.
Aside from the visible official teaser we’ve got from the designer, rumored specs include a top of the line hardware. We might see a dual camera setup along with a Snapdragon 835 processor and even a facial recognition feature.
Mi Mix 2 will be launched by this September with no official pricing. The Mix Mix was launched 10 months ago with about $700 to $800 (PHP 35,000 to 40,000 in local Philippine currency).
