We just got some info for the upcoming, unannounced new mid-ranger Asus Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5S. The said phablet will carry most specs of the Asus Zenfone Selfie while keeping some Zenfone Max features in tow.
The display is said to be a 5.5-inch 720p HD IPS panel and will rock a Gorilla Glass 4. On the other hand, the major build will be inspired by the Zenfone 2 Laser and not the faux-leather one we saw from the Asus Zenfone Max.

At its core is an alleged Snapdragon 615 octa-core chip with 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB expandable storage, and 3000 mAh battery. Still unclear if we will get the removable battery treatment too.
The main camera is said to be 13MP, which is expected as most Asus mid-rangers today sports the said size of the sensor. While the Selfie has 13MP front-facing camera, the one other upcoming Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5S is a 5MP.
The Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5S (ZE550KL variant) is expected to be announced later this week with a retail price for a Php 8,900 or around sub $200 USD price mark in converted. The pricing really adds more credibility to our source as the Max is around Php 8k while the Selfie is priced at Php 11k. No words yet about the availability on specific regions such as India and parts of Asia Pacific.
