ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has officially announced the ROG XBOX Ally X20.
The special edition features a translucent black chassis with gold accents, a 7.4-inch OLED ROG Nebula HDR display, and an AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor.
It also supports variable refresh rate (VRR) to help reduce screen tearing during gameplay.
ASUS has redesigned the cooling system with three airflow paths to manage heat around the display, heatsink, and processor. The updated fans provide 20% more airflow, while the heatsink fin surface area has increased by 11%.
The handheld also features magnetic TMR joysticks designed to reduce stick drift, a customizable D-pad that switches between four-way and eight-way movement, and rubberized grips for improved handling.
The ROG XBOX Ally X20 introduces several software updates through Armoury Crate Special Edition (ACSE). These include customizable shortcut buttons, improved interface scaling, updated Aura Sync lighting modes, and two HDR display modes: HDR Native and HDR Vivid.
It also adds a Travel Mode that limits charging power to 65W for better compatibility with power outlets on airplanes and trains. The feature activates automatically when Airplane Mode is enabled, but users can also turn it on manually.
