Among the products announced by Apple at the Peek Performance event, held this Tuesday, are new color options for the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro. Green was chosen to gain two new shades in the devices.
According to Apple, the color green will be available for the iPhone 13 and a slightly lighter variant of the hue, called alpine green, will arrive on the iPhone 13 Pro. The announcement confirmed rumors that had surfaced in recent days.
Those interested in the new colors can already make a pre-purchase starting this Friday. The new color will be available to the public on March 18.
It is worth noting that only the new color option was added and the other technical characteristics of the devices remain unchanged. This is a technique Apple adopted to reinvigorate sales midway through the generation’s lifecycle.
According to Apple, the new green iPhone 13 and 13 Pro are created using multiple layers of nano-scale metallic ceramic applied across the entire surface, complemented by a stainless steel band and textured matte back glass.
The models also feature a color-matched aluminum frame and precision-milled rear window. They are also protected by the iPhone-exclusive Ceramic Shield front cover and maintains an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
