Apple has released the first developer beta of iOS 26.4. A public beta is also expected in the coming weeks.
MacRumors has shared that one of the main additions is Playlist Playground in Apple Music. The feature allows users to create playlists by entering a text prompt.
The app can even generate a 25-song playlist that can be further customized.

iOS 26.4 also adds support for video podcasts in Apple Podcasts. Users can watch or listen to shows and download video episodes for offline viewing.

Stolen Device Protection is now enabled by default for all iPhone users. The feature adds extra biometric authentication for sensitive actions, such as accessing saved passwords or making certain account changes.

Moreover, Apple is also testing end-to-end encryption for RCS messages, which adds security for conversations between iPhone and Android users. Encrypted messages will show a lock icon in the chat interface.
The update is currently limited to developers, and features may change before the final release, which is expected in the spring of 2026.
