Now, recent reports suggest that Apple is in discussions with Baidu to integrate its AI technology into iPhones, specifically tailored for the Chinese market. According to insider sources, Baidu’s AI services will be exclusively available on Apple devices in China, starting with the anticipated release of iOS 18 later this year.

This collaboration marks a significant move for both companies, as Apple seeks to enhance its offerings in the Chinese market, where regulations surrounding AI technologies are stringent. Baidu’s Ernie Bot, one of the approved large-language models in China, has been chosen by Apple over other potential partners, including Alibaba.

Experts view this partnership as a major win for Baidu, positioning the company and its AI capabilities prominently in the Chinese market. Baidu’s CEO, Robin Li, anticipates a substantial increase in revenue from its AI business, largely driven by this collaboration with Apple.
