Apple has introduced the iPhone 17e, a new addition to the iPhone 17 series.
The iPhone 17e has a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display with Ceramic Shield 2, which Apple notes offers improved scratch resistance and reduced glare.

The phone includes a 48MP Fusion camera with an optical-quality 2x Telephoto feature and can record 4K video with Dolby Vision. Portrait mode now recognizes people, dogs, and cats, allowing depth adjustment after taking a photo.
Inside, the device features the A19 chip and the C1X cellular modem, which Apple says is twice as fast as the previous C1 modem.

The iPhone 17e runs on iOS 26, which offers updates to apps, translation features, and tools for managing calls and messages from unknown contacts.
Other features include MagSafe for wireless charging, a USB-C port for fast charging, and satellite connectivity for Emergency SOS, Messages, Roadside Assistance, and Find My when outside cellular or Wi-Fi coverage.
Apple says the phone is made with 30% recycled materials and follows renewable energy and environmental standards.

In the Philippines, the iPhone 17e starts at PHP44,990 for the 256GB model and PHP59,990 for the 512GB model.
Pre-orders begin on March 4, with availability starting March 11.
