Apple is Discontinuing its HomePod Speakers

Apple introduced its first smart speaker HomePod back in September last year, and many were expecting that it’ll be on the market before the year ends. However, that didn’t happen. Now, the company has finally announced the launch date of its smart speaker.

The HomePod will be available for pre-orders starting from January 26, and it will be officially available to purchase starting from February 9. Although it will only be available in some countries. Apple’s HomePod can be purchased only in Australia, GB, and U.S. The device will be available in France and Germany as well in Spring.

According to Apple, “HomePod is a convenient way to send messages, set timers and reminders, check the weather and listen to shows on Apple Podcasts. The latest business news, headlines and sports updates stream directly to HomePod from NPR, CNN, ESPN and others. HomePod can also be used as a speakerphone with iPhone for crisp and clear audio quality.”

The smart speaker will arrive with a price tag of  $349.
