Samsung officially introduced One UI 5.0 which is based on Android 13 OS during the Samsung Developer Conference 2022. The tech giant just confirmed that one of the series that will receive the OS upgrade this month is the S22 series.Â
As of writing, Samsung rolled out four beta editions of the One UI 5.0 for the Galaxy S22 lineup in the market. Although the release of the fourth beta is still unclear nor will be their final test. Although, S22 users will get the stable update by the end of the month.
Devices that are included in the list of the One UI 5.0 based on the Android 13 upgrade are the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra. These three devices will be the first to receive the update, as the timeline will vary according to the user’s region.
One UI 5 will offer a number of new capabilities, such as the Bixby Text Call, which allows users to respond to phone calls by typing messages. Text may be converted to audio and shared with the caller via Bixby. Transcribing the caller’s voice into text will also convey what they are saying.
Based on the user’s actions, routines can start a series of events. For resting, unwinding, working out, and driving, modes can build personalized settings. Deeper integration of Android 13’s Material You design is provided by The One UI 5.0. A security and privacy dashboard, a new Dynamic lock screen, multi-user support, stacked widgets, extracting text from photos, a new menu for connected devices with choices like Quick Share, Smart View, and Samsung DeX, a security and privacy dashboard, and more are some of its additional features.
By the end of the month, Samsung will release the full OneUI 5 rollout roadmap.
