Amazon to Launch Social Commerce TikTok: Amazon.com, Inc. announced Thursday that it would roll out a feed on its e-commerce app similar to TikTok. The company aims to attract new customers by providing them with a continuous stream of photographs and videos from their favorite influencers.

This move comes at a time when people are spending less money shopping due to an unstable economy and decades-high levels of inflation. Users can access the feed by selecting the “light bulb” button at the bottom of the app’s navigation bar. The functionality will initially be made available to a subset of users in the United States at the beginning of this month. It will gradually expand to include all users in the United States over the next few months.

Amazon has issued a warning that its sales for the fourth quarter could come in lower than expected, and the company has recently taken steps to slash thousands of corporate roles.
