Adobe has announced Firefly AI Assistant, a new feature that uses AI for workflows across its apps.
The assistant will be available inside Adobe Firefly, the company’s all-in-one creative AI platform.
It allows users to describe what they want to create in natural language, while the system handles the steps needed to produce the result. This includes working across apps such as Photoshop, Premiere, Lightroom, Illustrator, and others.

Instead of manually switching tools and building projects step by step, users can start with an outcome. The assistant then connects different tools and processes in the background to generate results.
Adobe says users will still remain in control. They can adjust outputs, refine details, and continue editing using standard file formats inside each app.
The feature also introduces “Creative Skills,” which are preset workflows that can complete multi-step tasks from a single prompt.
For example, users can prepare images for different social media platforms, resize them, and optimize files automatically.
Firefly AI Assistant can also keep context across sessions and follow users into specific apps, allowing work to continue without restarting the process. Over time, it may adapt to user preferences and commonly used tools.

As for availability, Adobe’s Firefly AI Assistant is expected to enter public beta in the coming weeks.
