Acer has officially launched its latest gaming laptop, the Acer Nitro V 16. It is the first laptop to pack a Ryzen 8040 series CPU.
The laptop offers two display options featuring WUXGA and WQXGA resolutions. Both panels boast a 165Hz refresh rate and response times as low as 3 ms.

Under the hood, it is powered by the new AMD Ryzen 8040 Series processor. Users can opt to choose the new AMD Ryzen 8040 Series processor, Acer said that users may choose up to AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS which uses Zen 4 core architecture providing third-generation power management features along with lower power consumption and consistent speeds.
Buyers can also pair it with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 laptop GPUs with DLSS 3.5 technology supporting a wide range of well-known titles.
For software, it runs on Windows 11 which will also come with a free one-month Xbox Game Pass.
Other features include up to 32GB DDR5 5600MHz RAM, up to 2TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD, an efficient dual-fan system, and speakers with DTS X: Ultra, Acer PurifiedView and PurifiedVoice 2.0.
Ports included are 1x Full-function USB 4 Type C, 2x USB 3 ports, and 1x HDMI.

In March 2024, it will go on sale in the US, and in April 2024, it will be available in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Local availability has yet to be announced.
