
vivo just announced two new relatively affordable smartphone devices in the Philippines with focuses on 5G connectivity and selfie cameras. The vivo V21 with a 5G chipset costs ₱23,999, offering up to 11GB virtual RAM and 128GB storage, while the vivo V21e gets priced at ₱17,999 with a selfie-centric camera and a Snapdragon chipset from Qualcomm.
Starting with the V21 5G, it packs a 6.44″ E3 AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 4000mAh battery to go. The charging speed goes up to 33W, while the RAM goes up to 11GB. Technically speaking, the device has 8GB RAM, but the software enhancements allow it to operate as if it has 11GB.
At the core of the V21 5G is the Dimensity 800U chipset, paving the way for 5G connectivity. The back camera of the device, featuring a 64MP main sensor, 8MP ultrawide, and 2MP macro, may be impressive on paper but the 44MP selfie camera boasts the world’s first optical image-stabilized sensor for more stable selfie videos. vivo V21 5G comes in Sunset Dazzle and Dusk Blue colors.

As for vivo V21e, it’s still an impressive phone despite the price tag as it packs a 44MP selfie camera with eye autofocus technology for sharper selfie photos and a 64MP triple-camera setup with 4K video capability. Although the AMOLED screen only operates at 60Hz, there’s no shortage of processing power from the Snapdragon 720G, paired with 11GB virtual RAM and 128GB storage.
vivo V21e comes in Diamond Flare and Roman Black colors.
From June 1 until June 4, you can pre-order the V21 Series via all vivo stores nationwide, Lazada, and Shopee. The smartphone duo will go on sale starting June 5.
