Sequels for Black Panther and Captain Marvel Gets New Titles

In a recent video teaser released by Marvel Studios, it officially announced its Phase Four movies along with official titles and dates. Among these movies are the Black Panther and Captain Marvel sequels.

Black Panther 2 will now officially be known as Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and will set to premiere on July 8, 2022. Ryan Coogler will return as its director and writer while stars Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke, and Angela Bassett will return as well in the sequel.

BLACK PANTHER WAKANDA FOREVER

Coogler expressed that he will not be recasting late Chadwick Boseman as the titular hero but will focus on exploring the world of Wakanda along with its rich and varied characters that were introduced in the first movie.

On the other side of the Marvel Universe, Captain Marvel 2 will be officially titled as The Marvels and will see the return of Brie Larson as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel and will also include Teyonah Parris’s return as Monica Rambeau who made her debut in WandaVision. Zawe Ashton will also be coming in the film playing as its villain. There is no news if Iman Vellani’s Ms. Marvel will be joining in the fun.

THE MARVELS

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will come in cinemas on July 8, 2022, while The Marvels will be premiering on November 11, 2022.
