In light of the celebration of International Women’s Day, women will get FREE rides in the Light Rail Transit (LRT) on March 8, Sunday.
This ‘for-the-first-time’ phenomenon is under the “Libreng Sakay para kay Juana” program. With this women can avail of free rides at LRT lines 1 and 2 from 7AM to 9AM and 5PM to 7PM.
LRT 1 tracks from Baclaran in Pasay City to Roosevelt in Quezon City, while LRT 2 routes from Recto in Manila to Santolan in Pasig City.
Around 200,000 commuters ride the LRT 1 during weekends and around 120,000 passengers ride the LRT 2.
