The presumed successor to the POCO X2 is claimed to be not a Xiaomi re-brand, as shown in the schematics. Though the outline still looks a lot like the Redmi K30 Series, a few design cues will separate itself. For starters, there’s a textured portion for the majority of the back panel. A large branding of “POCO” is also outlined. The cameras are in a rounded-rectangular shape but within a large, circular module. All in all, this phone may be the POCO X3.
POCO X2 launched back in February 2020. Counting back the months, it’s been nearly seven months. Usually, after six months, brands introduce a successor of a mid-range phone. While the listing confirmed 64MP quad-cameras, 5160mAh battery with 33W fast charging for the initial specs, we can speculate that the X3 might also feature 120Hz and better than Snapdragon 730G chipset. Though we wouldn’t mind seeing Snapdragon 765G, it feels like Dimensity 1000+ is the way to go provided the age of the Qualcomm chipset. We’re also hoping to see AMOLED instead of IPS LCD.
