Leaked Official-Looking Smart 5G-Ready SIM Cards Being Sold Already

Unofficial Re-sellers of Smart 5G-Ready SIM Being Sold via Facebook Marketplace and Shopee

For prices that range between P140 to P250, unofficial re-sellers are selling unannounced Smart 5G-ready SIM cards already. Interestingly, these cards look genuine and convincing. They are available in “triple cut” to match regular, micro, and nano-SIM card slots and free 1GB data upon activation. There’s also an expiration date of Dec-31-2021. 5G consumer band isn’t even supported yet in the Philippines, so buying these SIM cards with “futureproofing” in mind isn’t a good decision. And it’s not like 5G phones are widely available, too. We expect Smart telecommunication to release an official statement sooner than later.
