As expected, Xiaomi has introduced the Redmi Note 8T with NFC capability. It carries the same specs and design as the Redmi Note 8 — featuring Snapdragon 665 and 48MP Quad-cam. However, the added NFC allows for tap-to-pay functionality that seems popular in Europe. The base model with 3GB/32GB starts at €179 (~P9K) while the 4GB/64GB is priced at €199 (~P11K). The top model with 128GB storage will set you back for €249 (~P14K). These prices are on the expensive side, at least, when compared to the original P7,990 starting price of Redmi Note 8 in the Philippines.
Redmi Note 8T is available in Gray, Blue, and White colors. It will go on sale first in Spain and Italy on November 8th while Frace and Germany will follow on November 13th and 15th, respectively. No exact date yet for the UK and other European markets, but it’s said to be coming soon.
