Like how Samsung refreshed some of its Galaxy A Series, the company is doing the same for its Galaxy M Series. That said, the first phone to get a refresh is the Galaxy M10s. Launched in India, the cheapest entry to the Galaxy M Series has an official price of INR 8,999 or around P6,500 (before taxes).
Compared to the Galaxy M10, the design on the Galaxy M10s remains the same. Which means the entire build is made out of polycarbonate, featuring glass-tic back. However, there’s a capacitive fingerprint scanner on the back now. Camera-wise, we’re still looking at the same 13MP + 5MP ultrawide combo. Upfront reveals Samsung’s Infinity-V teardrop notch with a relatively large chin. The notch houses an 8MP selfie camera with the surrounding display using a Super AMOLED panel instead of IPS LCD.
Spec-wise, there’s an Exynos 7884B chipset with 3GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage. Another upgrade that we’re looking at is the 4000mAh battery(previously 3400mAh) and addition of 15W fast charging. Of course, it charges via USB Type-C. Available in Stone Blue and Piano Black colors, the M10s runs on Android 9 Pie with Samsung’s One UI 1.5 on top. Pricing and release date in the Philippines is not yet available. Hopefully, it’ll arrive as early as October.
