As scheduled, Realme has officially launched the Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro in India. Featuring quad-camera setups, Snapdragon processors, and large battery capacities, the company is shaking up the budget segment once again.
Starting with the Realme 5 Pro, it packs the latest Snapdragon 712 AIE chipset with 4035mAh battery capable of 20W VOOC 3.0 charging. It has a 6.3″ FHD+ display housing a 16MP f2.0 Sony IMX471 selfie sensor. Just like any Realme device, it supports triple-slot storage for expandable memory and two SIM cards.
The main feature of Realme 5 Pro is the quad-camera setup. As expected, the main sensor is governed by a 48MP f.18 Sony sensor. The second sensor is an 8MP f2.25 ultrawide angle, while the third sensor is a 2MP f2.4 super-macro with a focal length of 4cm. Last and least is a 2MP f2.24 portrait depth sensor. The device is available in Crystal Green and Crystal Blue colors.
The price of Realme 5 Pro starts at Rs. 13,999 or ~P10k (4GB/64GB). While the second model will sell in India for Rs. 14,999 or nearly ~P11k (6GB/64GB). As for the top model with 8GB/128GB, it’s priced at Rs. 13,999 or nearly P12,500. The device is aiming at Samsung Galaxy A50 and Redmi Note 7 Pro, which is two of the best midrange devices right now.

For Realme 5, you still get four sensors but the main camera now uses a 12MP sensor. As for the rest, you get the same ultrawide, super macro, and depth-sensing lenses. The design is also strikingly similar to the older sibling as it uses a splash-resistant body and holographic crystal design back panel. However, the display is of a 6.5″ HD+ with a dewdrop notch. Within the notch is a 13MP AI selfie camera.
When it comes to processing, Realme 5 uses a Snapdragon 665. You can expect longer runtime with this phone thanks to a very large 5000mAh battery. Unfortunately, you’re stuck with a standard 10W charger.
Realme 5 comes with a starting price of Rs. 9,999 or around P7.2k for the 3GB/32GB variant. While the 4GB/64GB model goes for Rs. 10,999 or roughly P8k, with the 128GB model selling for only Rs. 11,999 or nearly P9k.
Both devices are expected to arrive in the Philippines very soon, along with their official local prices.
The company also launched three accessories for the Realme 5 Series:
