Xiaomi released another lineup of entry-level smartphones last June 12 and one of them is the Xiaomi Redmi 6 which we chose to compare with this year’s version of Oppo A71 equipped with AI Beauty Recognition Technology.

The Xiaomi Redmi 6 comes with a larger screen 5.45-inch HD+ display with a screen resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. On the other hand, Oppo A71 (2018) comes with a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:9. The Xiaomi Redmi 6 has dimension measurements of 147.5 x 71.5 x 8.3 mm weighing 145 grams while Oppo is less dense with 137 grams with measurements 148.1 x 73.8 x 7.6 mm.
Under the hood, Xiaomi Redmi 6 is powered by Mediatek Helio P22 with Quad-core processor clocked up to 2.0GHz and runs the Android 8.1 Oreo while Oppo A71 (2018) comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 with Octa-core processor clocked up to 1.8 and runs Android 7.1 Nougat. The Oppo A71 (2018) carries 2GB of RAM with 16GB internal while Xiaomi Redmi 6 carries the RAM and storage variants of 3GB/4GB RAM + 32GB/64GB storage. Both are packed with the same 3000 mAh non-removable battery.
As for the optics, Xiaomi Redmi 6 sports a dual 12MP + 5MP rear camera while Oppo A71 (2018) comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera. Both are equipped with 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
