Among the three Xiaomi Mi 8 series that were launched recently, the Mi 8SE created the most impact due to its affordable price. Due to this, a lot of people have been wondering if the smartphone will be released to other countries. Today, a rumor was spotted stating that the device might launch in India bu in a different name.
Beebom mentions that the Mi 8SE will be launched in India as Mi 8i next month, July. They further state that this may be the same case as the Mi4i. In terms of its specifications, speculations says that it will sport the same hardware and software as the Chinese version.
The Xiaomi Mi 8SE features a 5.88″ AMOLED display and is the first smartphone to be powered by the Snapdragon 710. Its display has a resolution of 2244 x 1080 and an aspect ratio of 18.7:9. The smartphone has two storage variants – 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage and 6GB RAM + 64GB internal storage. It has a dual camera setup and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner as well.
The prices shouldn’t be too different than the Chinese version with a price of 1799 Yuan (approx. PHP 14,891) for the 4GB + 64GB whereas the 6GB + 64GB version is priced at 1999 Yuan(approx. PHP 16,546).
