Xiaomi has finally made it official for the launch date of Redmi S2 on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo, it shows an image of Chinese actor Liu Haoran holding a pink Redmi S2. The launch will be held at Nanjing, China on May 10.
There’s another teaser image with a big parachute image with “Surprise” emphasizing the letter S which reminds us the graphic teaser that Xiaomi posted with a big letter S.
The upcoming Redmi S2 is advertised as a selfie-centric smartphone and according to TENAA listing of the phone, it was seen that it will be packed with 16MP front facing camera and will be equipped with a dedicated LED flash. For the rear camera, it will have a dual camera setup that consists of the 12MP primary sensor along with another 5MP secondary sensor.
The Redmi S2 is coming with 5.99-inch HD+ with a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage that can be expanded via microSD cards. The device is packed with 3,080mAh battery capacity.
