China’s tech giant Xiaomi teased a red Redmi Note 5 on Weibo, following Apple’s iPhone 8 and 8 Plus new red variant announcement. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is currently available in black, blue, gold, and rose gold.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Pro were launched in early February this year. With the Redmi Note 5 having an 18:9 display and powered by Snapdragon 625. It features a 12MP rear camera, which is the same as last year’s Mi A1. For taking selfies, it comes with a 5MP front snapper with Beautify 3.0.
The base model of the Redmi Note 5 offers 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage, and the second variant comes with 4GN of RAM and 64GB of storage.
We’re not saying that Xiaomi imitated Apple on this one but looking at how the Chinese company immediately teased a non-existent red Redmi Note 5 right after Apple’s announcement reeks of imitation. There’s still no information on when the red variant of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will be available though.
