
Xiaomi has officially released their first gaming laptop along with the Mi Mix 2S in Shanghai. With the name, Xiaomi Mi Gaming Laptop, the company has successfully created another affordable device with top-notch specs.
The Mi Gaming Laptop features a 15.6″ FHD screen which can connect to two other 4K external monitors to enhance the user’s gaming experience. The gaming laptop was mentioned to come in different variants. The standard features an i5 CPU with Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti, 8GB of RAM, and a 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD. On the other hand, the upgraded variant features the Core i7 CPU, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD, and 1TB of HDD.
A good gaming laptop wouldn’t be complete without a good cooling system. Xiaomi takes pride in this regard mentioning that the Mi Gaming Laptop will be the coolest high performance laptop on the market. The laptop will sport 3+2 large diameter cooling pipes inside with 4 air vents. It also has a key that will provide turbo cooling. Speaking of keys, the device includes the RGB keyboard along with 5 programmable keys.
As for its design, Xiaomi mentioned that they will keep it simple. Its width is 20.9mm and it weighs 2.7kg. The Mi Gaming Laptop will be available for order on April 13 in China. The standard variant (Core i5 + GTX 1050 Ti) is priced 5999 Yuan (approx. Php 50,000) and the top-end variant (Core i7 + GTX 1060) is priced at 8999 Yuan (approx. Php 75, 100).
