Double good news for OnePlus 5 owners as the OxygenOS 5.0 update based on Android Oreo is now live. Along with improvements to the launcher, the update also includes beauty effect for Portrait Mode, Parallel Apps feature, new design for Quick Settings and many more. You may view the complete improvements in the list here.
Aside from that, OnePlus 5 smartphones are confirmed to receive the Face Unlock feature currently found in the OnePlus 5T. Company co-founder, Carl Pei confirmed via Twitter that the Face Unlock feature will be coming to the OnePlus 5 but didn’t specify when. After checking, the feature is still not included in the latest new OxygenOS 5.0 update based on Android Oreo.
Pei didn’t also mentioned if any of the previous OnePlus models will get the feature too. Rest assured, we’ll keep you updated, as always!
Due to popular demand, Face Unlock is coming for the OnePlus 5. Thanks for the feedback, and merry Christmas! ???
